Greetings and a hearty welcome to the new academic year 2023-2024!

It fills me with immense pride and pleasure to have you here with us. The start of a new year signifies fresh opportunities and brings cheer to all of us. As the great philosopher Socrates once said, “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” This year, let us ignite that flame by truly understanding the essence of education.
Education should not be confined within the four corners of classrooms; it should permeate every aspect of our lives. It is an incredible opportunity for each student to explore their hidden potentials and pave the way towards becoming the ideal individuals they aspire to be.
Learning to Know: This emphasizes how we learn. It is crucial to master the art of acquiring knowledge in a smart and efficient manner. Let us recognize that learning is a lifelong process. As individuals, our primary goal is to realize our full potential and utilize it to become better members of our community.
Learning to Do: Mastering our unique ways of learning will prepare us to apply what we learn. Our knowledge becomes truly meaningful when we can put it into practice in our daily lives. Let us continuously seek knowledge to develop our potentials further. One way to achieve this is by offering our services to society. Opportunities abound where there is demand.
Learning to Live Together: As responsible members of society, it is our primary concern to maintain peace and contribute to building a better community. Understanding ourselves before understanding others is a crucial step. Let us embrace the fact that there are diversities among us and recognize how these diversities can work together to create a better world. We should strive to help others, be open to change and different perspectives, and respect every culture that is different from our own.
Learning to Be: This focuses on the holistic development of the human person. Let us aspire to achieve our highest potential by nurturing our moral, social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual dimensions.
By embracing these principles, we will create a new era of growth and progress. I have great hope that the DBCC e-voice will play a major role in fulfilling this mission. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all of you for the upcoming year.
